Blue Hues

I wanted to make a new wreath for my door today that spoke to me. I don't get into the holiday decorating around Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day. Anyone can do that. I wanted something that spoke to me as we greet the warmer temperatures and nature changing its' dynamics. If you allow nature to lead, then you have a greater sense of inspiration. I figured that I would allow that to happen as I was listening to 70's groove on Sirius in the She-Shed. At least that's what Dom calls my manufacturing space. LOL.

Creativity in art is just that. It's simplistic. It's doing what you feel at the time. It's the energy that surrounds you. That's why it can't be copied.

I wanted to create something that spoke to me. I had no plans, just a desire to create something. It's funny; that when you don't think about what you are making, it makes itself. That's when I truly feel that nature creates art. It just happens.

I had a lot on my mind today. Friends who are having difficult times. Loved ones that are in disarray. The blue in the peacock's feather and just the blue feather came out loud today. I researched it after-the-fact to figure out why I had an urge to include it in my wreath.

A blue feather is the color of communication, sincerity, truthfulness, the expression of yourself and trust in others. A blue feather has a calming, peaceful energy that encourages you to have faith in yourself and to express your deepest truths.

I experienced a sincere truth today. Never expected it. However, the power of art and how your spirit creates art tells a story. I will always value that blue feather because it provided the truthfulness that I needed today. Now I can move to the next step. Inspiration at its' best. That's why I love nature. I love art.

And the story of my day is in my wreath that is on my front door. Classic.
